Facbook and Instagram suffer widespread outage across the world

Can't log in to Facebook or Instagram right now? Don't worry, we can't either.

The world's largest social network and the image sharing platform it owns went down today at around 11:50am. Users are unable to access the services on both the web and via their mobile apps in the United States, Australia and Asia, according to the Associated Press.
The reason for the outage is unclear. Instagram has said that it is aware of the outage and is working on a fix.
