Blackberry has formally announced a limited luxury edition of the Passport Black & Gold, consisting of only 50 handsets Apart from the gold sides and a gold back cover, Passport's luxury edition has a cover done in Valextra leather. Each of the devices is numbered.
The limited luxury edition priced at 899 dollars is available at the manufacturer's American website.
Presently, a third-party firm, Goldgenie is offering the BlackBerry Passport in rose gold, gold or platinum versions, coming with a price tag of around 1,000 dollars each.
The BlackBerry Passport has a square HD touchscreen measuring 4.5-inch with a 1440-1440 pixels resolution.
The device is powered by the BlackBerry 10.3 OS and a 2.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone has a built-in storage capacity of 32GB.
The 4G-ready device is furnished with a 13MP camera with 1080p video recording and optical image stabilization.
The unlocked version of the device costing 699.99 dollars is marketed mainly to business professionals.
