The Intex Aqua Q3 and Aqua X15 smartphones are the new additions to the OEM’s ever expanding portfolio of budget handsets in India and they’ve both gone on sale sans any official launch. The former device carries a price tag of Rs 5769, while the latter is a more affordable option at Rs 2399.
The Intex Aqua X15 is one of the cheapest Android smartphones we’ve seen on the market. For the amount being asked, we wouldn’t expect much from this device and it’s no surprise that the phone runs on an outdated version of Android, 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. What’s more, the stale Google OS is powered by a measly 1GHz processor which should be enough for basic tasks like instant messaging and browsing the web.
You’ll also get a small 3.5-inch HVGA display and what’s interesting is the Intex phonecomes with dual cameras. A VGA snapper is placed on the front panel, while the rear flaunts a 2MP shooter and an LED flash. Additionally, there’s 512MB of internal memory, 256MB RAM, 32GB microSD expandability and a 1400mAh battery that won’t go beyond 3.5 hours of talktime.
The Aqua X15 is more reasonably specced with a 4.5-inch FWVGA touchscreen and Android 4.4 KitKat. This handset offers quite an attractive design and it’s powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor. It also has dual SIM support with 3G connectivity and decent memory provisions of 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage.
Here’s an in-depth look at the Intex Aqua X15’s specs:
