Bajaj Auto has no plans for scooters

Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj debunked any notion of the two-wheeler maker planning to make scooters again, given the huge growth in scooters in the country and the company's past history as a market-leading scooter seller.
The MD said the history of companies worldwide showed that very successful companies were those that focussed on only one thing. Making money is the most important thing for business.
Giving an example, Rajiv Bajaj said he would rather be a Harley-Davidson, which makes huge profits and sells few bikes, than a General Motors that sells the most cars worldwide but doesn't make profits.

Bajaj made the statements on the sidelines of a launch event in the national capital, where the two-wheeler maker launched the new Pulsar Adventure Sport in two engine capacities, namely the AS200 and AS150.
