Twitter now allows users to share birthdays, gives animated balloons

Twitter has announced a new feature which allows users to share and celebrate their birth date along with other users complete with colorful animated balloons on that day.

According to thenextweb.com, the users can opt whether to share their birthday with the public, their followers, who they follow or ‘only me’.
For the users to add a birthday they have to click “Edit Profile” and they will see a new option for birthday. Click on that, and they will see a day, week and month menu.
Twitter will use the user’s birthday to show them more relevant content, including ads.
Also, the feature is available only on the Web version of Twitter. In addition, the balloons only drift upward on the first visit or when the users refresh the page.
