Honda launches the all-new Navi

Honda on Wednesday launched its all-new Navi on the opening day of the Auto Expo at Rs 39,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). In the international market Honda sells the Navi with the PCX150 moniker which enjoys tremendous popularity. In India though, Navi is a first of its kind product by creating a totally new segment of FUN riding, according to a press Powered by a 110cc Honda HET engine with automatic transmission, the Navi is a mini bike peaking a maximum power 8PS and 8.96 NM of maximum torque. The four-stroke SI engine will come with both an ignition switch and a kick for cranking.




In terms of design, the Navi is distinctly European. Based on the theme of fun, it sports peppy edges and will make for an ineteresting ride for Indian youngsters. To make sure that the Navi boasts of decent handling dynamics Honda has fitted it with a 12-inch tyre on the front and a 10-inch on the rear, accompanied by telescopic front forks. Braking duties are handled by drum brakes on both the wheels.


Interestingly, the Navi is completely made in India, from concept development to commercial production; a first for Honda in the country. The bike will also be available in three variants - the Street, the Adventure and the Off Road. In order to capture the imagination of the Indian youngsters, the Japanese manufacturer has opened the booking of the bike through an Android app. The Navi will be available in as many as five colours. Creating an entirely new segment, the Navi is yet to face any competition in the market.
