Micromax Canvas Fire 5 smartphone with Android Marshmallow

Micromax has just launched its Canvas Fire 5 smartphone . Priced at Rs 6,199, it will be available in Champagne, Grey and Silver colour options. The handset comes equipped with various music-centric features such as front-firing speakers and Auro 3D sound. The company is also offering 6 months' free subscription to Gaana+ music streaming service with the smartphone.

Micromax claims that the front-facing speakers and Auro 3D sound technology provide a realistic surround sound experience, enhancing the entertainment experience for consumers.



In terms of specifications, Micromax Canvas Fire 5 features a 5.5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor.

The smartphone also offers 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, further expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card. The device sports an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera for selfies. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. A 2,500mAh battery backs up the hardware package.


Earlier this month, the Micromax launched the Canvas Amaze 2 in India. Priced at Rs 7,499, the phone is exclusively available on Flipkart. Micromax Canvas Amaze 2 features a 5-inch HD display with 720x1280 pixel resolution protected with Corning Gorillas Glass 3. The device is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core QualcommSnapdragon 415 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. On-board storage of the smartphone stands at 16GB and can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
