There are all kinds of useful little tips and tricks that one might not know about with their smartphones. Like being able to slow down the speech in a voice call so you can better understand the person talking on the other end. This isn’t something you’d probably want to use on a daily basis, but if you frequently find yourself talking to people who speak like they’re an auctioneer then this little tip might be just what you were looking for. It only applies(as far as we know)to the Sony Xperia Z2 and the Sony Xperia Z3, so if you have one of those devices make note of how to turn on this feature which is probably not very well known or very often used.
You can slow down the speech of the person on the other end of the phone call using Sony’s Slow Talk feature, and it isn’t very hard to access and enable either. Just a few quick steps and you can turn on this function, so it’s a little bit easier to understand anyone who regularly talks fast without a thought that it may be hard to catch the words flying out of their mouths at a million miles a minute.
This feature will be here for any Sony Xperia Z2 or Sony Xperia Z3 that is running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or above, which should be every single model in use on the planet. Getting to it only takes a minute too, and even if you aren’t planning on using it any time soon, why not acquaint yourself with its location for next time? Simply open up the settings menu, navigate to the call settings menu, and then search for and select the Slow Talk feature, and enable it. That’s all there is to it. From here on out if that function is turned on the speech in phone calls will be slowed down to what we’d assume is a significant amount. I haven’t tried this out on my own Xperia Z3 yet, but for anyone who talks on the phone often, give this feature a test and see how it works.
