Xiaomi is reportedly working on the next-generation Mi Note smartphone alongside a new variant of the flagship Mi 5. According to the new details, the alleged Mi Note 2 will come in three models - standard, high, and top-end.
Gizmo China reports that the exact innards of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 are not available; though it tips some features expected to be featured on the new handset. According to the leaked details via a Weibo source, the alleged standard Mi Note 2 variant will feature single rear camera setup, Hi-Fi chip, and will support quick charging. The high Mi Note 2 variant will pack a dual camera setup at the back in addition to the standard version.
The top Mi Note 2 variant is said to sport a curved screen display and will support similar features as the standard and high versions. The report also speculates that the standard version will include 4GB of RAM while the high and top versions will pack 6GB of RAM.
Coming to the new Xiaomi Mi 5 variant, the Mi 5s is said to arrive in the second half of the year. The smartphone will feature "pressure-sensitive display" which is expected to work same as Apple's 3D Touch. Some of the other rumoured features on the Xiaomi Mi 5s include Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and a dual rear camera setup. My Drivers claims that the smartphone will sport a 5.15-inch full-HD display and will pack 6GB of RAM.
Xiaomi recently made the first Chinese developer ROM available to download. The company made the version 6.6.16 of MIUI 8 China Developer ROM available and also revealed the changelog.
